GHB (date rape drug) MDMA (ecstasy) K – Kat, Katamine (Animal Tranquilizer)

These drugs are known as club-drugs, many younger adults take them at parties for the increased sensation of having fun. However these drugs are very dangerous and can cause severe emotional problems, Mental issues and even death.

Many times GHB is given to girls unknowingly in their drinks, when the effects of the drug take hold the girls do not have the mental capacity to know what is happening around them or to them. They do not fight off their attackers so they is no real evidents of rape but her consent was surly never given.

MDMA – Ecstasy Is a drug that gives you a feeling of euphoria, however ecstacy makes your heart rate increase and your body temperature rises and normally the person under the influence of ecstacy has an uncontrolled thirst. Water is usually the drink of choice but when alcohol is added to the mix the person can drink far more then usual, this obviously adds to the dangers of the drug because the person will think they are okay to drive when they are far beyond the legal limits. Many teenagers have died from this drug so it is not the “all for fun” drug it is thought to be by many users.

Katamine – Is an animal tranquilizer (used to put an animal to sleep for surgical procedures or transportation)

Katamine comes in a liquid form and can be used as an IV drug, or it can be dried turned into powder and snorted. The effect of the drug is a slowed perception of reality with some hallucinogenic effects. When taken in small bumps the person can still function, walk talk ect. However when larger quantities are taken the person go into what is called a K-hole the person is incapacitated and the hallucinogenic effect takes over, this can result in out of body experiences and the person has no control over the effect of the drug or the time it takes to come down from the drug. Death can occur because of a slowed heart rate and respiratory failure.
